Teaching Assessment
Special attention is given for providing the best possible to the students in terms of teaching. For teaching besides using the black board now most of the staff members are using overhead Projector, slide projector as well as computers. Progress of the students are being monitored continuously based on home assignment tutorial sheets, class test etc. Special classes are being arranged for the academically poor students. The progress of syllabus coverage is monitored continuously by the respective head of the departments.
At the end of each academic session the sessional marks are being allotted (20 % in theory subject5s and 50 % in practical subjects). For assessment of sessional marks the following guide lines are being adopted :
Students attendance both in theory and praticals during the specified period is meticulously maintained and displayed
Students are given attendance marks in their sessional examination score
The names of the students with the poor attendance / poor performance in sessional examinations are notified and their parents are informed accordingly
A very transparent system for attendance and allotment of sessional marks is adopted
Counseling the students of poor attendance and performance is continuously done at department level and at institute level
Usually two sessional examinations are conducted for each theory subject ;one at the end of the first term and the other at the end of an academic session .Considering the attendance weightage (25%) and sessional examination performance (75%),the final marks are allotted to students
In practical examination , the sessional marks are allotted on the basis of attendance, regular self work, overall observation of students involvement and interest and performance in oral examination. A continuous evaluation of practicals is done during the teaching session
