COMMUNIQUE - The Student Society of Electronics and Communication Department

‘COMMUNIQUE’- the student society of Electronics and Communication branch of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, has been actively involved in participating and conducting in the various events in the institutes beautiful campus.

These events are the foundation stones for the overall development of the students in technical and non technical domains. This platform mostly contributes in bringing out the creative side of the student. Students not only interact among batch mates, seniors or juniors but also get guidance from eminent personalities from industries. The external guests motivate the students through guest lecture, group discussion, workshops and industrial visits organized through this society for and by the students.

Communique – 2018 – 19

Departments student society “communiqués” formal installation program “Ekatra-2018” was held on 05/10/2018 in industrial auditorium. The chief guest of the function was Dr. S. V. C. Kameswara Rao, Sci. Eng. “ G”, General Manager, Regional Remote Sensing Centre-Central, National Remote Sensing Centre & Department of Space, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Dr. S. V. C. Kameswara Rao motivated the students and provided a great insight with the current communication engineering applications, trends and research opportunities at ISRO.

Events organized by the COMMUNIQUE during 2016-17 session:

2 Days National Level Workshop on SELF BALANCING BOT

Communique, the Student Society of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a two day National Level Workshop on 'Self Balancing Bot' on 3rd and 4th March 2017 under the banner of Technovision10.0, A National Level Technical Fest of RCOEM, and in association with IIT BOMBAY INNOVATION CELL and Robokart.
Two wheel self-balancing robot is a development in the field of robotics and it is based on the concept of Inverted pendulum theory. This type of robot has gained fame and interest among researchers and engineers because it utilizes such a control system that is used to stabilize an unstable system using efficient microcontrollers and sensors. Self-balancing systems can be seen in many places and they are essential for the smooth running of numerous types of machines. These types of robots can effectively work in non-uniform surfaces due to their balanced control system.
55 participants joined for the workshop from the various engineering colleges of the region. Workshop was a grand success as all the participants have given their satisfactory feedback.

TECH-QUEST

Communique, the Student Society of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a National level Technical event Tech-Quest on 6th March 2017 under the banner of Technovision10.0, A National Level Technical Fest of RCOEM.
The event Tech-Quest is a perfect combination of fun and technology. It tests and boosts not only the participants’ technical but also general aptitude skills. The event contains different rounds, rising a level up in each round, the participants will learn a new way of analyzing things. The participants may realize their inner strengths like leadership quality, patience and many more.
The event has got overwhelming response from the participants. 240 participants from the various engineering colleges of the region have participated in these events.

Guest Lecture on topic ‘Aim it..Achieve it” by Alumni Vatsalya Mathur

Communique, the Student Society of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a motivational guest lecture on the topic “Aim it..Achieve it” on 23rd March 2017 for the students of third year.
The guest speaker Mr. Vatsalya Mathur is the distinguished alumni of 2013 batch of Electronics and Communication Department. Interestingly, he is also the ex-vice president of Communique, the Student Society of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He presently works in Tech Mahindra as System Analyst at Texas, USA.
Mr. Vatsalya shared valuable information related to real life scenarios of jobs in industries and higher education abroad. He encouraged students to stay motivated and achieve success in life.


Events organized by the COMMUNIQUE during 2015-16 session:

  • Industrial visit to High Tech Transistors also known HTR under the guidance of Prof. Pradip Selokar, which is a leading resistor manufacturer in the world with presence in 35 countries. Students from Third year of EC Department have participated in this Industrial Visit which was held on in February 2015.
  • COMMUNIQUE had also conducted a workshops : "Microcontroller based Project and Embedded Coding ". The participants were from third year. The conveyor of this workshop was Dr. S. B. Pokle and the Coordinator was Prof. B. A. Neole.
  • Students from the EC department had been part of the Branch Cup activities which consists of Music, Literary, Placement, Boys Sports and Girls Sports Cup, respectively.
  • Last year's installation "EKATRA" was graced on the teachers day, where the invited speaker Mr. Tushar Joshi, Senior Architect, Persistent Pvt Ltd, Nagpur guided and motivated them not to limit themselves in imagination.
  • The students also organized the cultural night along with events like MR. & Miss. EC, Survivor, Interclass cricket, Photo-booth and Mafia.

EKATRA - The installation of Communique 2016-17

"EKATRA",the installation of “Communique society 2016-2017” was held on 24th Sept., 2016. Mr. Shailesh Wadhankar, Central Head, Persistent Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur was present as guest of honor at the formal function “EKATRA”. The various technical and non technical events were took place. The event was followed by cultural activities in the evening.
