Masters in Business Administration (MBA) PROGRAMME
- MBA is a two year course, divided in four semesters with a sanctioned intake of 120 students.
- The objective of the programme is to teach students about business strategies and concepts, not just theoretically but through training and internship in industry essential inan MBA Programme. It teaches how to use these skills in practical life and in day to day business operations.The emphasis of the program is on collaborative learning which includes classroom teaching (Lectures, Case Studies, Role Play Sessions, Presentations by Students), group learning (workshops, management games, group field assignments), guest lectures, seminars, conferences industrial visits, summer training, research projects, business plans competition, adventure camps, etc. Students are practically trained by experts for the software –Primavera, Tally, SPSS etc.Special attention is paid to upgrading networking skills of the students

- A Masters in Business Administration opens doors for students to work in various industries, banks, and such institutions where management of material& Operations, manpower, marketing of the products and services,financial aspects have to be managed.
Infrastructure and Facilities
- The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure that promises an environment best suited to facilitate the process of learning.
- The Department also has a spacious and well-stocked library with over 3750 books. It subscribes to a number of international and national journals.
- It has a Computer lab which is well equipped with latest hardware, software and internet facilities.
- The entire Department is fully networked with internet access facility. It has well-furnished and air-conditioned class rooms with LCD projection facilities.
- The Department is vibrant with many activities that are conducted throughout the year such as industrial visits; International Tour. Kshitij - a two day program - where eminent industry persons make students aware of the challenges they would face in the corporate world; GyanSarovar, a two days management seminar on Finance and Marketing; guest lectures; alumni meets; parent-teacher meets; Workshop on Aptitude Development (WAD) for UG, PG and Diploma students of different colleges; Power Shift; paper presentations as well as debate competitions on various relevant & current issues.
Strength - Faculty Members
- The department has 17 faculty members with an average of 13 years of teaching experience and 5 years experience in the industry.
- With 5 Doctorates in Management, 10 of the faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D.
- The faculty has diverse specializations in the fields like Marketing and Human Resources, Business and Industrial Laws, Information Technology and Systems, Organizational Behavior, International Business, Operations Management, Business Research and Systems, Finance and Ethics, Finance and International Business and Finance and Business Research.
Industry Interaction
- The Department has a healthy interaction with industries and business associations, which helps the department in organizing guest lectures, panel discussions, summer projects, industry visits and training as well as consultancy opportunities.
Placement
- Department has a vibrant Placement cell which interacts with industries for final summer placement. The placement cell has been able to offer jobs in some of the top organizations like Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro, SKF, TCS, L&TInfotech, ITC, ICICI Securities to name a few.
Ranking by Business world as on 25th June 2012
- Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management-Nagpur (RCOEM), Department Management Technology( DMT) has received Overall ranking of 107 across India. It is ranked 19th in Western India, 2nd in Vidarbha & Ranked 1st in various Institutes Affiliated to RTM Nagpur University. In Industry Institute Interaction category DMT has been ranked90th position in Western India by Business world 25th June 2012.
