- NSS unit of RCOEM conducted its annual event Prerna 10.0, a four daylong event from 08th to 11th Feb 2018 inaugurated by Mr. Khushroo Poacha, founder of Seva kitchen and Indian blood donars website. The main aim of this program was to create social awareness among technocrats by means of various inter-collegiate social events.
Junoon-Succeed against all odds- An event to showcase the talent of specially abled children. The word “Junoon” itself means passion and this passion moves them beyond their shortcomings and failures. Mr. Vijay Munishwar witnessed the event.
Health Check-up camp- It was organized for the teaching as well as non-teaching staff at our college and also for the villagers of Malegaon near Nagpur, around 200 villagers took part in the event and got benefited. The dentists, Gynaecologist, eye specialist contributed to the event and made it a huge success.
First aid- Dr. Dachewar sir made all the students, staff and guards aware of the techniques to be used in first aid. He demonstrated and explained the measures to be taken while doing the first aid.
Village Visit:- This year volunteers of NSS Unit visited Sonkhamb village and conducted Health checkup camp followed by awareness about sanitation by presenting a play on the cause. The NSS Unit of RCOEM has adopted the above mentioned for three years in order to ensure the sustainable development and awareness about sanitation, education and health of village.
It also included 4 competitive events namely- Reflection, Speak streak, Sorpresa and Event X that enhanced social, physical, mental, creativity and communication skills of the participants.

PRERNA 9.0
NSS unit of RCOEM is conducting its annual event Prerna 9.0, a four day event from 15TH Feb to 18thFeb 2017. The main aim of this programme is to create social awareness among technocrats by the means of various inter-collegiate competitive events.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Dr. Bhau Daydar, NSS university coordinator, Dr. R.S. Pande, Principal, RCOEM, Dr. Mohgaonkar and Dr. S. Dogra, NSS Program Officer, RCOEM.
Mr. Harshal Baheti and Ms. Vandana Singh, NSS Secretaries, formally welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais. They made students aware about the significance of social activities and described the objectives of NSS. Dr. Bhau Daydar enlightened us about our social responsibilities. Dr. R.S. Pande spoke about the commendable job of NSS volunteers. Dr. S. Dogra also mentioned the achievements of the NSS Unit in previous years and appreciated the dedication of volunteers. In the end, Mr. Yash Singhania, Joint Secretary of NSS, offered a vote of thanks to all dignitaries for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence.

PRERNA 8.0
NSS unit of RCOEM conducted its annual event Prerna 8.0, a four daylong event from 15TH Jan to 18thFeb 2016. The main aim of this programme was to create social awareness among technocrats by the means of various inter-collegiate competitive events and guest lectures by imminent personalities.
Orator of the year- where the participants immersed themselves in spinning a
web of words to catch the interest of the audience, on the topics given to them ten
minutes before their speech.
Junoon-Succeed against all odds:- This event was to showcase the talent of
specially abled children. The word “Junoon” itself means passion and this passion
move men beyond their shortcomings and failures.
Brain-Teaser- This was an event were the participating teams were given witty
questions and puzzles to solve. This was basically a fun filled event which was
enjoyed by all the participating team members. The event was a huge success with
more than 100 teams participating.
Blood-Donation- The second day glided by with the successful organization of a
Mega Blood Donation Camp, held in collaboration with ‘Dr Hedgewar Blood
Bank’ gaining a healthy response from the students and Teachers
Health Check- up and Cleanliness Drive: This event took place in a village
called Anjangaon near Nagpur. Around 250 villagers took part in the event and
got benefited. We were having dentists,gyanic, eye specialist that helped in our
event and made it a huge success. The cleanliness drive was held in parallel with
the health checkup.
Quakers- This is basically a fun event with the social essence to create a social
awareness within the participants. This event consist of various group activities,
physical tasks and skate round etc. The event got a huge participation of students
of our college and other colleges also, the total count was around 300 people. The
event creates an optimistic environment about the PRERNA in the campus.
