Training and Placement function provides a window of opportunities to the Students over a wide variety of Careers in a broad spectrum of Industries/Organizations in India and Abroad. It serves as a Single point of Contact for the Organizations on various Industry-Institute Initiatives like Industrial Training, Guest Lectures, FDP’s, Alumni Lectures.
Over the years, the section has maintained good and strong relationship with Industries across the country and as a result, has built up an impressive placement record both in terms of percentage of registered students placed, as well as the number of companies visiting the campus. The Performance of students has been commendable and placement record reveals the testimony of their performance. During the year 2011 and 2012, all past records of placement have been surpassed to register a historic figure of 580 job offers to the Students.

| Last year despite global recession and job cuts across the country in the private sector, Training and Placement Department could fairly maintain the Institute’s good record of placement in the year 2012-13. For the 2013 Batch 415 offers have been given to our students till date by 43 organizations that have visited Institute. Most of the IT companies visit the college during seventh semester while Core companies visit the college throughout the Final year of students’ graduation. RCOEM, the most sought after engineering colleges in the city, has created another record for 2013 batch in campus placements with 191 students selected by the world’s leading IT company ACCENTURE. |

| Initiatives of T & P Department |

| The Training and Placement department organized seminars for students to enlighten them about placement activities, general requirements of the companies and student queries were answered through an interactive session. It also undertook various programs in alliance with host faculty and guest faculty for the improvement of student’s general aptitude, communication skills and interview skills. Training and Placement department conducts special sessions for aptitude development of students as well as GD- PI session in association with respective departments in the month of July & August 2012 |

| APTITUDE TEST facility for RCOEM students was again provided this year to the students of RCOEM. Tests were conducted by the T&P Department and various tests at department level. Aptitude tests are helping the students to score good marks in the aptitude test conducted by various companies visiting the campus. Test is designed in such way that every student got different set of questions from the inbuilt large question data bank. T&P department in association with Prof A.K.Agarwal, Associate Professor, Civil Department conducted workshop on ‘Campus Recruitment Training’. Large number of students participated in this workshop which was beneficial for preparation of aptitude as well as interviews. |

| Training Programs for Students |

1. Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. is sponsoring Accenture Innovation Centre at RCOEM campus. A laboratory of 50 computers will be set up which will be used for technical skills enhancement. RCOEM is one of the very few select colleges across India to collaborate with Accenture for this joint initiative.
2. Accenture Head Start Training Programme was conducted at RCOEM in two phases from 3rd December to 21st December 2012 and from 15th January to 3rd February 2013. Trainers from Accenture trained in soft skills and technical topics on Programming Techniques (C, C++), SQL, JAVA and UNIX. Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management is one the very few institutes in entire India considered for this coveted Head Start Training Programme.
3. ITC Inoftech Ltd. Campus Connect: Select students were given in class training as well as hands on practical training on CORE JAVA, ADVANCED JAVA & PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT (PLM). Industrial Engineering Department has signed MoU with ITC INFOTECH LTD. for the same.

| T&P department conducts awareness sessions in each department and enlighten students about campus recruitment process, eligibility, industry scenario, preparations and industry expectations in the month of August. The T&P department as well as each placement coordinator is always open to student queries, doubts and any problem related to career, companies and job profiles. The students are informed in most transparent way about every job opportunity. |
