Team Marcos- Robotics Club of RCOEM is gearing up for the DD-National Robocon 2020 for which the preliminary task is to clear the Virtuals which will be followed by the fabrication of the Robots.
After the determinant efforts of the team, they have received sponsorship of Rs.2,84,40,000/- in the form of License of various software as follows:-
- 40 — Solidworks (Rs.2,83,000/- each) for a period of 2 years
- 25 — Hyperworks (Rs.3,90,000/- each)for a period of 1 years
- 21 — Mathworks (Rs.2,20,000/- each)for a period of 1 years
- 05 — ANSYS (Rs.5,50,000/-)for a period of 1 years
The student team will comprise of 40 students from all Engineering branches. Their innovative design will be evaluated at the IIT, Delhi in January 2020.

Tata Crucible, a Business Quiz Runner-up
RCOEM ranked 2nd being the runners up in Tata Crucible, a Business Quiz held annually for college students. The RCOEM team did well to keep pace with VNIT for the first half of the final. In this edition of this legendary Quiz also known as the world cup of quizzing, the college was represented by 2 young engineers - Gaurav Sharma (CSE 2nd YR) and Shouvik Dey (EEE 1st YR). They scored 18 points which won Prize money of Rs.35000.
Mr. Lohit Kumar Yadav of 2014 Batch secured All India Rank #1 in IES (Indian Engineering Services) 2017 Mechanical Engineering. Also, our alumnus Saurabh Chitlange got AIR #43 in IES 2017 Mechanical Engineering.

Saptika Samanta, a student of MBA Integrated, 4th Year secured a respectable 2nd position in the State Level Youth Festival "Indradhanushya 2016" held in Aurangabad , on 7th November’16 She performed remarkably well in the Western genre and represented Nagpur University.
Tushar Sahay , Sagar Ayalani, Avnika Goyal, Shriya Shivankar, Final year were the 1st Runner-up in Project Competition on “E-Governance” organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Nagpur and G.H. Raisoni COE, Nagpur on 18th January 2016. These students were felicitated by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Hon. Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. They also showcased their project in COMP-EX 2016 Nagpur Next- IT Based Project Competition organized by Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers' Welfare Association.
RCOEM Students shine at ELECRAMA-2016
Final Year Students of M.Tech. PEPS represented RCOEM in the ELECRAMA-2016 which was organized by IEEMA, supported by Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Make in India Campaign at International Exhibition Center, Bangalore (K.A.).
Two teams with different Project topics were awarded the CERTIFICATE OF SPECIAL RECOGNITION. Out of 70 teams participated in the event; our project teams were in the ‘Top 6 Teams’ which were awarded as Special Mention Project.
1. PROJECT TITLE: Efficient Unity Power Factor Three Phase Induction Motor Drive with Reduced Number of AC Freewheeling Switches.Team Members:MEDHA R. GIRI, SHEFALI S. WASNIK
The Project is guided by Dr. D.R. Tutakne, Department of Electrical Engineering, RCOEM. The project has applications for controlled cooling purpose in power plants and industries. This induction motor drive is power saving, improves power factor with simple control technique and is economic.
2. PROJECT TITLE:12 Pulse Line Commutated Converter For Grid Interfacing Of Solar Photovoltaic ArrayTeam members: AAISHA MERAJ, MANOJ WAGHMARE, MADHURA DESHMUKH.
The project is guided by Dr. M.M.Renge, Department of Electrical Engineering, RCOEM The basic aim is to utilize solar energy by means of photovoltaic panels and inject the power to AC grid by using 12 pulse line commutated converter. This topology does not require any additional synchronizing circuits.
Our college successfully participated in Yuvarang 2015-2016, an Inter-Collegiate Youth Festival organized by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University on 25th, 26th and 27th February, 2016. Our college left its mark on the audiences as well as the judges with some spectacular performances in oratory, music and drama. The college bagged 3rd position in the Over-all Championship category with 39 points.The events in which our college bagged position are mentioned below:
