The Electrical Engineering Department aspires to be among the finest in India, with the ability to shape students who can serve society’s technological, leadership, administrative, ethical, and social needs.

Our mission is to create a stimulating and scholarly environment that empowers students to excel in both core electrical and multidisciplinary fields. Additionally, we aim to instill ethical and social values that will serve our students well throughout their careers and in their personal lives.

Features of Departments

  • The department has been accredited five times 
  • The department has 1 Professor, 5 Associate Professors, and 9 Assistant Professors with industrial backgrounds.
  • We are recognized as a Research Centre for a Doctoral program by RTM Nagpur University and have 14 well-equipped laboratories.
  • We have Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) that promotes academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.
  • The department organizes technical workshops, guest lectures, training programs, and exhibitions like “EMPOWER” to introduce students to the latest industry developments.
  • Students get to participate in sports, social activities like National Service Scheme (NSS), and industry training during vacations.
  • The department also encourages entrepreneurship and industry interaction to develop students’ overall leadership and technical skills

 Opportunities for electrical engineers are wide open in various fields in industries related to electrical engineering including Telecommunication, Computer hardware, Networking, Automobile, Electric Vehicle, Automation Consumer goods sector, Power Stations, Electricity Transmission & Distribution utilities, Manufacturing plants, Plant Engineering, Industrial design & maintenance and many others. The curriculum is so design that the graduates can also decide to join IT/Software industries as a career option.
