Programme: M. Tech. (VLSI Design)
M. Tech. (VLSI Design) is a full time two year course offered by Electronics Engineering Department with an intake of 24. The programme was started in year 2004. The curriculum is well designed to expose the students to design complexities of contemporary Digital, Analog and RF system design and Embedded systems using industry standard EDA tools and development platforms. Dedicated state-of-the-art laboratories include major software for VLSI design, COMSOL Multiphysics software, development and verification platforms such as Mentor Graphics FPGA Advantage, Agilent ADS Design Suit, Tanner Tool, Keil MDK, Virtex 5 Development platform and Embedded System Design environments.
In order to prepare post graduates to take gainful employment in core, allied sectors of electronics engineering and entrepreneurship, the curriculum components include hands-on training, core-elective courses, industry oriented projects and expert talks. Students undergo their internship at various R & D Organizations, reputed Academic Institutions and Industries. Many of the alumni are pursuing their higher studies in various reputed Academic Institutions like IIT’s and NIT’s.
