Career counseling cell in department aims to provide assistance and advice to students to make them more powerful and better informed so that they can become architects in building their own future. It helps the students realize their strengths and weaknesses by instilling self awareness, decision making skills, planning skills, personality development etc.

The Objectives of Career counseling cell are as follows:

  • To help students share knowledge about themselves by identifying skills, and interests.
  • To provide information about further course prerequisites, financial aid, academic planning, entrance examinations etc.
  • To promote career guidance & counseling through lectures by senior corporate executives and visiting professors.
  • Mentoring through an individual counseling.
  • To organize seminars on interview skills, personality development, communication skills, leadership skills, resume writing, analytical skills, quantitative ability, verbal and reasoning skills essential to all competitive exams.

The Outcomes of Career counseling cell are as follows:

  • Upon completion of the graduation programme of the students the career counseling cell will have following outcomes: ·
  • The student will have acquired broad knowledge of various fields and skills necessary for employment.
  • The students will be able to choose a career that matches their aptitude and personality leading to professional success and satisfaction.
  • The students will be aware of various programs for higher studies.

Session 2020-21

 

Following activities conducted under the Career Counseling cell of Electronics Engineering department during Session 2019-20:

  1. Webinar on “Core domain career option after engineering” on 20th June 2020 by Mr. Rahul kurzekar (sr. ASIC Engineer, NVDIA graphics pvt. Ltd. Banglore. RCOEM Alumnus)
  2. Webinar on ‘Career options & opportunities for BE/M.Tech Electronics/EDT/EC graduates’ by Mr. Renjith CV of Philips India was successfully conducted on 28th May 2020.

  3. Talk on “Career opportunities and challenges in IOT” by Mr. Anurag Agrawal, Director APAC, Global cloud practice at Siemens Digital Industry Software, Singapore. This activity was conducted for third/final year Electronics/EDT students on 31st of January 2020.
  4. An interactive session on “Latest Trends in Industry and Internship Opportunities” for students of Fourth and Sixth semester B.E. Electronics Engineering was organized on 29-Jan-2020. Mr. Devesh Gattani (Alumni 2018 Batch), Cloud Technology Consultant, Oracle Malaysia.
  5. Workshop on “Career opportunities and challenges in AI and Machine Learning” by Mr. Arpit Yadav, AI/ML Researcher at TensorBrew , for third year Electronics/EDT students’ on 25th of January 2020
  6. A general awareness session on “Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC’s)” for students of Third semester B.E. Electronics Engineering under Eklavya activity of Career Counseling Cell was organized on 27-July-201 by Prof. V.R Gupta, Electronics Department, RCOEM.
  7. An interactive session about “Current & Future Placement Trends for Electronics Engineers” by Dr. Anupam Kher, Dean T&P, RCOEM under Gantavya activity of Career Counseling Cell was organized on 10-August-2019.

Following activities conducted during Session 2018-19:

An Expert Lecture on “Career Opportunities for Electronics Engineers” for students of Third semester (First Shift) B.E. Electronics Engineering under Gantavya (गंतव्य) activity of Career Counseling Cell was organized on 25-September-2018. Professor P. A. Dwaramwar, Associate Professor of Electronics Engineering, has guided students about the carrier opportunities in the core Electronics field and asked them to plan their studies, mini projects, and mega projects such a way that, it will help them in getting placement/internship into a core company.
