- All admissions at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur are done strictly on the basis of merit and in a transparent manner. College has not authorized any agency or agent for admission of students. In this regard parents and candidates are sincerely advised not to fall a prey to unscrupulous agents or agencies.
- All admissions will be done as per guidelines of Competent Authority of Govt. of Mah arashtra for the session 2023-24.
- All the aspiring candidates seeking admissions under any quota ( quota / Linguistic Minority quota / Institutional Level quota / NRI / CIWGC(Gulf NRI) / FN / PIO – Overseas Citizens of India quota) must register their name on the official website STATE CET CELL (https://www.mahacet.org/) , get their documents verified & confirmed at Facilitation Center and get an acknowledgement from there itself.
- All types of candidates, including minorities, aspiring for admission under any quota, it is mandatory to get registered and get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation center.

Eligibility Criteria
For Maharashtra State Candidates
- The Candidate should be an Indian National;
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies , and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2022 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2022 and JEE (main)-2022
- Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates.
- The candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and should obtain non zero positive score in JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2022 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2022. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE Main(B.E/B.Tech) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2022.
OR - Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National :
- The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies , and obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together;
- Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
Distribution of seats
Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management is a Linguistic Minority (Hindi) Institute as per the notification by Government of Maharashtra vide circular no. AES/2008/40/(8)/R.No.359/2008/Seat No. 1, Dated 12th February 2009.

The 15 % seats (All India Quota) will be admitted based on JEE while remaining seats will be admitted based on MH-CET
NRI admissions: 5% of sanctioned intake are NRI quota seats which will be within institute quota for approved courses.
FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions: 15% of sanctioned intake are FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC seats which are to be filled over and above the sanctioned intake for approved courses.
The Institute level admissions :for Institutional Level admissions, the candidate must register on STATE CET CELL (https://www.mahacet.org/) website first. They are also required to fill the application form of the institute. These admissions will be carried out as per State CET cell norms. - Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate / School Leaving Certificate having mention of Nationality as Indian.
- Migration Certificate (if appeared for HSSC examination from other than Maharashtra State Board)
- PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook( Linked to aadhar) front page, Any other document required by Competent authority(State CET Cell)
- MHT-CET-2022 score card / JEE (Main)-2022 Score Card
- Eligibility for Linguistic Minority Quota seats.
Candidates having mother tounge ‘Hindi’ and domicile of Maharashtra State are eligible.
For Minority Quota Seats following documents are mandatory (in addition to above):- Declaration of the Candidate for the respective Linguistic / Religious Minority Community or Leaving Certificate having information pertaining to Religion / Mother tongue. (शासन निर्णय अल्पसंख्याक विकास विभाग क्र- अविवि-2010/ प्र.क्र.109/10/काया-5 दि .01 जुलै 2013 पहावा)
- Domicile Certificate of Candidate.
- Eligibility certificate of RTM Nagpur University in case the candidate who have studied their Std. XIIth from other than Maharastra state Board. And this certificate can be submitted after admission.
Note:
1. The candidate has to submit all required original documents (HARD COPY as well as SOFT COPY) at the time of admission.
2. The candidate should keep 10 sets of attested Xerox copies of all documents.

Cancellation of Admission and Refund of fees, return of documents by Institutions. –
- The Candidate shall apply online for cancellation and submit duly signed copy of system generated application for cancellation of admission to the institution. Once the candidate submits online request for cancellation, his/her admission shall be treated as cancelled. The Institute shall consider the online request made by Candidate for cancellation as final irrespective of whether he/she has submitted duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute. Upon such cancellation, the candidate shall lose the claim on the seat and such seat shall become available for further allotment. The candidate shall then become entitled to and the Institute shall refund the entire fees to the candidate after deduction of Rs.1000/- towards processing charges and return all his/her original documents submitted to the Institute within two days from submission of duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute;
- Notwithstanding clause (a) above, candidate shall not be entitled to any refund of his/her fee except the Security Deposit and Caution Money Deposit if the online cancellation is effected by the candidate after 5.00 p.m. of the cut-off date prescribed by the Competent Authority;
- No institution, who has in its possession or custody, of any document in the form of certificates of degree, diploma or any other award or other document deposited with it by a person for the purpose of seeking admission in such institution, shall refuse to return such degree, certificate award or other document with a view to induce or compel such person to pay any fee or fees in respect of any course or program of study which such person does not intend to pursue or avail any facility in such institution.
- The institution shall not entitle to recover the fees for the subsequent years from the student seeking cancellation of his admission at any point of time.
Centralised Admission process (CAP)
The CAP Quota (29% of sanctioned Intake) and Minority quota( 51% of sanctioned intake) will be filled through CAP. The Centralised admission process will be as follows
- Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of Information brochure.
- Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
- Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
- Declaration of Merit list by State CET Cell
- Option form filling by candidate (For CAP round I)
- Admission allotment to candidate
- Freeze/Float/slide by candidate
- Reporting to Admission reporting centre (ARC) for “Freeze” candidates or Option form filling for float/slide candidates for Next CAP Round
- Repeat of step (vi) to (viii) for next round
- Reporting to Allotted Institute with the fees and documents.

Institute level Admission Procedure
The institute level admission quota ( 20% of sanctioned Intake) will be admitted through Institute level Admission Process. The Institute level Admission Process will be as follows:
- Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of information brochure
- Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
- Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
- Declaration of Merit list by State CET Cell
- Declaration of Institute level admission schedule on co lege website/News paper
- Filling of Admission request form (ARF) by candidate through college website(www.rknec.edu)
- Declaration of provisional merit list by college (based on merit no. provided by State CET Cell)
- Grievance redressed, if any
- Declaration of final merit list by college
- Admission by merit in counselling round as per schedule in the college
- Repeat of step (v) to (x) for next round

NRI/FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions: The NRI admission (5% of sanctioned intake for approved courses ) and FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions ( 15% of sanctioned intake for approved courses over and above sanctioned Intake) will also be done at Institute level.
