Dr. Suresh S. Balpande attained D.E (1996) , B.E. (1999) , M.Tech (2009) and Ph.D degree (2018) from Nagpur university. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management in Nagpur. He possesses over 24+ years of teaching experience. Additionally, he coordinated the Intellisense-sponsored Center for Microsystems.

Dr. Suresh Balpande

Suresh Balpande’s scholarly achievements encompass an impressive array of 25 research articles published in prestigious SCI/SCOPUS/WOS indexed journals, along with over 38 papers featured in both national and international journals and conferences. Notably, he holds 7 patents and has secured copyrights for more than 15 works. He has also authored a book titled ‘Micro and Nano scale Vibration Energy Harvester’. In addition, he contributed a book chapter titled ‘3D Printing Technology for Next-Generation Energy Harvesters’ published by IOP Science. He is known for translating an AICTE book on ‘Microprocessor and Microcontroller’ into Marathi. He has also contributed to AICTE’s Student Learning Assessment (ASLA) Project.



His research journey includes the completion of a research project at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology, a unit of the Department of Atomic Energy under the Government of India. Currently, he is engaged in two ongoing research projects. His accomplishments extend to being a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship (1993-99), a Gold Medal for M.Tech (2008), the Best Teacher Award (2005), and the RCOEM Research Excellence Award (2018).

Diversifying his expertise, he has delivered over 70+ invited talks across educational institutions and industries. As a corporate trainer, he has conducted 200+ hours of training sessions for notable companies such as Mahindra and Mahindra, Elkem South Asia Pvt Ltd (MNC), Hindalco Pvt. Ltd, and Yantra Institute of Technology and Management. His consultancy endeavors and training contributions amount to approximately Rs. 2.50 lakh. Under the RCOEM YFRF Scheme, he secured a seed grant of Rs. 4 lakhs for designing and developing soil nutrient and water contaminant detection methods. His academic guidance encompasses the supervision of 9 M.Tech projects and providing research internships to over 50 B.Tech students. Moreover, he holds the status of an approved PhD supervisor at RTMNU, Nagpur.

Suresh Balpande’s research interests span MEMS, Microfluidics, Mechatronics, Energy Harvesting, and Machine Learning-based Soil Nutrients and Water Contaminants detection. He maintains active membership in professional societies including ISTE, IETE, ISSS, and IAENG. Furthermore, he plays pivotal roles as a reviewer, research panel member, and editorial contributor in diverse peer-reviewed journals affiliated with IEEE, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, IET, Sage, Bentham Science, and Cambridge Scholar Publishing Ltd.

Lastly, he extends his support and mentoring to Micro-Scale Sensor development and laboratory advancements in areas such as Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
