IES – Industrial Engineering Society

Industrial Engineering Society (IES) was founded in 1984 and is the official student body of Industrial Engineering Department, RCOEM. IES is responsible for conducting all the co-curricular and extracurricular activities in the Department including the student installation ceremonies and formal farewells. When students enter the department in second year, they are like seeds, they have the potential to bloom in the right environment. IES nurtures them and provides them their own space to grow where they learn the most important managerial and life skills in discipline. By their last semester, students are exposed to enough real time challenges to know their strengths and find room to work on their weaknesses and while leaving college they know that for them, sky is not the limit. In due course of time, many become gigantic trees competing with clouds but their roots are always connected to IES just like an umbilical cord.
