Dr. Manoj B. Chandak is a renowned academician, researcher, and administrator with over 31 years of experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering & Technology, specializing in Computer Science and Engineering, with a specialization in Natural Language Processing.
Dr. Chandak has served as Dean Academics and Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur, now Ramdeobaba University. His research interests include Hyperspectral Image Processing, and he has been the Principal Investigator for research projects funded by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan, [RUSA], and Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure [FIST Level 0], with grants exceeding ₹2.20 Crores. He was also instrumental in establishing the NVIDIA Centre of Excellence at the institute.
In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Chandak is a Sun Certified Oracle Trainer in the Database Administration domain. His research contributions include over 50 publications indexed in Scopus with an h-index of 7. He has successfully guided seven Ph.D. students, with eight more currently pursuing their research under his supervision. His areas of interest are Algorithm and Compiler Design.
Dr. Chandak’s professional affiliations include membership in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (IEEE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and the Institution of Engineers (IE). He is also the author of the book “Compiler Design”, published by University Press.
His extensive contributions to Academia, Research, and Administration continue to leave a lasting impact on the field of education.
